------------------------------------------------------------ Proposed Duties of the [X] Chapter Scouting Committee Chair ------------------------------------------------------------ The chair and co-chair of the Scouting Committee will be held by committee-appointed liaisons to the Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of the USA and Camp Fire USA. Their duties will be as follows: -Maintain communication with [insert local BSA council], [insert local GSUSA council] and [insert local CFUSA council]. -Conduct a Scouting Committee meeting at least twice a semester. -Whenever possible, send a Scouting Committee delegate to local Eagle dinners, Eagle Courts of Honor, Gold Award ceremonies and troop award ceremonies. -Maintain the Chapter Scouting Resource Binder and all Chapter-owned Scouting literature, including but not limited to merit badge books. -Work with the VP Service to organize a service project for the Klondike Derby at the end of the fall semester, which will take place in the beginning of the spring semester. -Be responsible for the Chapter Boy Scout Merit Badge University in the spring semester and Girl Scout Merit Badge University in the fall.
